Higher Heights Higher Heights is a not-for-profit organisation based in North London. The organisation was established in 2007 when local residents comprising of youth workers and mentors came together after witnessing the decline of youth provisions in the area and the knock on effect of anti-social behaviour and the rise in youth crime.

Our projects and programmes are designed to combat the rise in youth crime and anti-social behaviour, as well as strengthening cohesion between different communities and different age groups.

Markfield Beam Engine and Museum Built between 1886 and 1888, the engine is a masterpiece of Victorian engineering.
The Markfield Beam Engine and Museum is housed in its original Grade II listed Engine House in the former sewage treatment works for Tottenham which now forms part of Markfield Park.
Markfield Project Markfield is a community centre based in Markfield Park, which promotes rights, independence, choice and inclusion for Disabled people and their families.
Project Dirt Project Dirt is a London-based website that lists all the grassroots environmental projects and groups that are in London (eventually to become nationwide).

Project Dirt is free to join either as an individual or as Friends of Markfield Park, and you have your own page on Project Dirt which members will be able to join, take part in discussions, add photos to etc.

But perhaps the most appealing aspect of Project Dirt is that if you add events to Project Dirt - for example, bulb planting session at Markfield Park come along and volunteer - it gets included in their Monday mail out, which is sent to 3000+ members, and is a great piece of free advertising! You can also further advertise events by writing a blog about them and asking the Project Dirt administrators (or me) to put it as the headline on the front page, again getting more exposure.
