What's happening...
Hello to our wonderful volunteers
Now summer is here (and the rain as well) and nature is busy buzzing, blooming and bursting, it's time to get outdoors and see what all the fuss is about with The Conservation Volunteers Haringey this June. We will be learning about pruning and aftercare for shrubs during National Volunteer Week, going wild in ancient woodlands and gearing up for our mystery project. Don’t forget that we will also be growing lots of vegetables at the recently launched Harmony Gardens Green Gym. We're out and about every Tuesday, Thursday and now Fridays!
Remember it's fun, FREE and healthy plus you get FREE tea, coffee and biscuits.

Some of the produce will be used in Broadwater Farm Community Centre’s community kitchen project and there will be enough for some home cooking. Working in partnership with Back 2 Earth and the Friends of Harmony Gardens, this is an exciting opportunity to get involved in helping to develop this green space and volunteers will get a 30% discount in the Community Kitchen. Back 2 Earth and Friends of Harmony Gardens also have volunteer sessions every Tuesday, 1-4pm.
June is a busy month in the vegetable calendar for sowing carrots, beetroot, swede and turnips, and for planting out kale, brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower.
